Take your Dreamwork to the next level

Do you have recurring dreams? I visit a deeply familiar world when I fall asleep. There are houses, beaches, spots in the ocean, aircrafts and people that show up over and over again in my dreams. This last week I had 5 consecutive nights dreaming the same scene. Oh, my heart….as I pause to recall my dream now, how I felt and who was there, it takes me to a meditative, somatic, physical place in my body. These are messages sent to me from my higher power, my spirit guides, and the phenomenon of dreaming still amazes me.

I close my eyes and can see the most vivid scene from my dream last night; I am on a ship, traveling in the ocean.

There are sleeping quarters, rooms and familiar people, and we need to get off the boat and get onto a plane. I am always packing, walking through hallways, into rooms, other buildings, on the shoreline…sometimes the feeling is like being in love, and sometimes it is like watching a tidal wave, not being able to do anything about it. Other times, I am the one flying the plane or achieving the next step in my journey.

Upon waking, I recall the scenes. I focus on details of what I was doing, where I was going, how I felt. The small things that caught my attention. I write it all down in a journal I keep in my bed with me. There are two sides to recalling a dream. One key is to recall what you were doing. The other key is to recall how you felt and what the conditions were like. For example, I could be taking a row-boat across the lake to where a puppy is standing on a dock. This image alone is enough to draw some interpretation, however the full story comes about when I share I was panicked and the waves were choppy. The emotion around what is happening is almost more important than what was happening, in my experience. If brakes on a car don’t work, or the ocean or wind is chaotic, maybe you are searching endlessly to try and find something; these could symbolize a similar frenetic energy in your waking life.

If you feel love, peace, or perhaps fly in your dream, it could symbolize a similar aspect in your career, relationship, personal development or play-time in your waking life.

If there is an animal in your dream, you can look up the animal spirit meaning. Each animal has special traits, like tarantula being close to the earth or the bee working in community… each has a special message to assist you with what you are CURRENTLY going through.

Like dreams, animal spirit medicine shows up in real time. What are you stressing or celebrating about today? Most likely, an animal will show up outside your window at home or show up in your dreams to deliver a message your soul needed to hear.
